Adele plans return to the stage

Adele will make her live comeback in December.

The British singer has been forced to cancel a string of dates in the UK and US dates after falling ill. At first she had laryngitis and then she was diagnosed with a vocal cord haemorrhage.

Adele underwent surgery for the condition and is now recovering. The operation went so well she feels ready to take to the stage again.

The 23-year-old was booked to perform at the finale of the British version of The X Factor months ago and it's been agreed the arrangement can go ahead.

'Her management said this week she is still planning to make it. It's amazing news for fans and viewers,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

Simon Cowell apparently decided she would be perfectly placed to sing on the last episode of the contest after watching her perform at the BRIT Awards earlier this year.

Adele is now at home resting as she's determined to give the December show her all.

The X Factor is renowned for getting big-name acts to perform in the finale. The stars usually collaborate with the last three contestants competing to win a recording track.

It's been claimed Coldplay and Michael Bublé are also being lined up.

This year is the first time that Simon isn't on the programme's judging panel. He decided to focus on the American version of the show, and apparently won't travel to the UK to watch the final.

'He's not coming - unless he changes his mind at the last minute,' a source insisted.

Kate Moss bids for Boy George

Kate Moss has paid £20,000 to hear Boy George sing one of his greatest hits.

The British supermodel attended a recent benefit to aid The Hoping Foundation, which aims to help people in Palestinian refugee camps.

A number of pop stars were there, with the audience encouraged to bid before they performed. The singers could only take to the stage once enough money had been raised.

'Kate is a massive Boy George fan and Do You Really Want To Hurt Me is her favourite track. She would probably have gone higher if needed,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

George was thrilled with the figure Kate offered, so even let her join in with the track.

British TV stars Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr hosted the Monday night event, which was held at the Cafe de Paris in London.

Pulp star Jarvis Cocker raised £15,000, but the biggest act of the night were the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The American band generated £65,000 to take to the stage.

Light relief came in the form of actress Gemma Arterton, who was dressed in skin-tight leather trousers and performed The Rolling Stones track Sympathy For the Devil.

In all, £393,000 was raised for the organisation.

Katy Perry quashes pregnancy rumours

Katy Perry has denied rumours that she is pregnant with her first child.

The 27-year-old singer shot down the reports that she is expecting and was adamant in her response.

There was a baby bump buzz surrounding the Firework singer at Sunday's American Music Awards (AMAs) when she seemed to have a thicker midsection than normal.

'Hell, no!' she told Hollyscoop who asked her if there were children in the near future for her and husband Russell Brand.

In fact, she said it was more about the food she was eating than a baby on the way that explained her fuller figure.

'I like In-N-Out Burger and Taco Bell and if you want to make that pregnant that's your problem,' she told The Insider. 'I still love drinking alcohol so not yet.'

At her concert in Madison Square Garden last week, Katy also joked to crowd about her 'bloated belly.'

She said that if they saw her rubbing her stomach, it was because she had been having fun eating the 'delicious' food in New York City.

But Katy has said in the past she does want to become a mother but it's not currently the right time.

'[Children] is one of the reasons you get married,' she told Ellen DeGeneres last month. 'Especially to the person that you marry. You think, that person is going to be a good partner, a good parent. But I'm not sure it's time yet. We'll see, ya know?'

'If it doesn't hurt the first time, I'll keep popping them out!'

Noel Gallagher upset his phone wasn't hacked

Noel Gallagher says he is 'absolutely crestfallen' that he wasn't worthy of having his phone hacked by News of the World.

In an interview with Details.com, Gallagher said 'I was absolutely crestfallen when the phone-hacking scandal broke here in England and my name wasn't mentioned once. I'm not even worth to have my fucking phone hacked. And Steve Coogan is. It's fucking over.'

Gallagher's new band the High Flying Birds has given him reason to be in the spotlight again, but it's unlikely he's worthy of the attention Oasis were given at the peak of their fame. He seems aware of this too.

'I never understood people who bitched about fame,' he explained. 'Even in the nineties, when it was mad and there were photographers all around the house, it never occurred to me to send someone else out to get cigarettes. It took me five minutes, I went for a walk, gave a wave and went back inside.'

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' debut album is out now.
