Liam Gallagher says new band will be bigger than Oasis

In possibly the most audacious claim since Ron Nasty claimed The Rutles were 'bigger than Rod', Liam Gallagher has claimed his new band Beady Eye will be 'bigger than Oasis.'

't'll be bigger,' Gallagher told London's Sunday Times. ''ve got no doubt about the music, no doubt about me. I've never sounded better.'

'[Noel] will come crawling back very fucking soon, man,' Liam said. 'He thinks he's the leader, he thinks every decision he makes is right. I started this fucking band. I am Oasis.'

The band are 'three quarters' of the way through recording the record and fans can expect 'proper rock 'n' roll', not the 'pop' that was Oasis.

Noel Gallagher walked out of Oasis after a backstage spat in Paris in 2009. Time will tell whether Beady Eye are going to be 'bigger than Oasis'.

I know it's lazy journalism taking a shot at Liam Gallagher, but come on Liam, 'What's The Story Morning Glory' sold 35 million albums and shot your band to headline slots at the biggest stadiums in the world. Are you freaking serious?
