In an interview about his solo album, Radiohead drummer Phil Selway confirms that their new album is still being written.
In fact, Selway told Pitchfork that they're 'slap dab' in the middle of writing.
Selway spoke predominantly about his mournful folk album Familial, which is due out on August 31.
He also talked about his role in Radiohead, positively describing himself as 'one of the more shadowy figures' in the band.
His album promises to be a curious meander of Nick Drake-esque folk tunes, with guest spots from Lisa Germano and Wilco's Glenn Kotche and Pat Sansone.
But interviewer Ryan Dombal rightly assumed that he'd probably be fired if he didn't ask about the fate of the next Radiohead album.
Selway cut him off by saying that it's 'not finished yet' and laughed, 'So you didn't even have to ask it'.
He followed up by confirming, 'We're still writing ' we're slap dab in that middle of it'.
It has been three years since the release of Radiohead's last album In Rainbows.
